About JD Fire Group
Founded in 1998 by Mr. David Lamb in Chadderton, Manchester, and originally occupying a 30,000 sq. feet of warehouse space, the Group is a wholly owned independent and is still run on a day to day basis by Mr. Lamb.
Originally specialising in Dry Riser equipment carrying the Elite brand, the product range now offers a complete Fire and Building Services offering, the company has rapidly risen to its current dominant position in the UK market, supplying key Distribution outlets, and major installers alike.
The last 10 years has seen group growth of 70%, quadrupling of staff, and the requirement to increase logistics and warehousing from the original 30,000 to moving in (January 2015) to our new 90,000 sq. feet warehousing capacity, holding £1.5 million worth of stock available ex-stock UK.
Product additions to the range have now given the JD Group capability to offer a truly single source for your Fire Protection requirements. Products associated to the company’s Dry Riser origins carry the Elite brand name and now sees the addition of Firefighting equipment. JD Fire also distribute Victaulic grooved couplings and fittings, Heads & Devices, Mech malleable & Valves Bailey & Mackey switches, gauges.
JD Fire have flexibility and capability beyond those of its competitors, due to in-house engineering workshops, providing internal capacity for specials, modifications, bespoke products, and out of hour’s capacity.
